DreamWorks Animation has recently made the decision to reduce its workforce by approximately 70 positions across various departments, including corporate functions, feature, television, and technology. This move is part of a broader cost-reduction effort.

As the studio gears up for the November 17 release of "Trolls Band Together," the third instalment in the popular franchise, fans can look forward to Anna Kendrick and Justin Timberlake reprising their roles, along with a new 'N Sync song, the first in over two decades.

In contrast, earlier this year, DWA faced a box office setback with "Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken," which garnered $44.7 million worldwide according to Box Office Mojo. However, the previous year saw considerable success with "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish," which earned an impressive $481 million worldwide and received critical acclaim, even securing an Oscar nomination for best animated feature film.

On the television front, DWA continues to make waves with offerings like "Gabby’s Dollhouse," available for streaming on Netflix. Despite these changes, DreamWorks Animation remains a prominent player in the entertainment industry, adapting to the evolving landscape with their dynamic array of projects.
