In a recent Twitter outburst, tech mogul Elon Musk took aim at the blockbuster movie 'Barbie,' accusing it of overusing the term 'patriarchy.' The film, following Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) as they venture into the real world, has been lauded by some as a feminist movie while others criticize it for perceived political messaging.

Musk's comment, "If you take a shot every time Barbie says the word 'patriarchy,' you will pass out before the movie ends," drew mixed reactions on his social network 'X.' Some agreed with him, claiming the movie had an "unceasing anti-male messaging," while others defended the film's empowering message for girls, according to Hindustan Times.

However, the Tesla founder's reaction to 'Barbie' was not without its own backlash. Users on 'X' mocked Musk, calling him a "lightweight" and suggesting that Ken actually said the word more frequently in the movie.

In a separate incident, Musk also shared his thoughts on Christopher Nolan's "Oppenheimer," agreeing with a remark by Samuel Harris Altman, CEO of OpenAI, that the movie missed the mark in inspiring kids to pursue physics.

Samuel had said, “I was hoping that the Oppenheimer movie would inspire a generation of kids to be physicists but it really missed the mark on that. Let’s get that movie made! (I think The Social Network managed to do this for startup founders)."

Despite the criticism, "Barbie" has enjoyed massive success, becoming the biggest film of the year in the US and Canada, grossing an impressive $337 million worldwide during its opening weekend.
