Tasnia Farin's debut film, "Fatima," is all set to grace the screens of cinema halls across Bangladesh on May 24, confirmed director Dhrubo Hasan.

The film garnered widespread recognition in the Eastern Vista competition at Iran's Fajr Film Festival last year. Not only did it participate, but it also clinched an award at the esteemed festival. Tasnia Farin's remarkable performance in the film earned her the prestigious Crystal Simorgh Award at the festival.

In anticipation of the film's release, Outcast Films, the production house behind the project, organised an event at their office last Saturday, bringing together directors, artists, and industry professionals.

They fondly reminisced about the journey of making the film and shared anecdotes from behind the scenes.

Director Dhrubo Hasan recalled that the film was initially titled "Dahakaal," but as the story evolved, it was renamed "Fatima," while still retaining elements from its original narrative.

Tariq Anam Khan reflected on his numerous experiences with the film, expressing gratitude towards the director for completing the production of "Fatima."

"This marks my debut film. I'm eagerly looking forward to experiencing it on the big screen," remarked Tasnia Farin.

Earlier this year, Tasnia Farin starred in the web film "Osomoy." Additionally, she has acted in a Kolkata film and won the Filmfare Bangla Best Newcomer Award for her performance.

Apart from Tasnia Farin and Pantha Kanai, the film also features Tariq Anam Khan, Manosh Bandyopadhyayy, Yash Rohan, Sumit Sen Gupta, and Ayesha Monika Hira, among others. Pavel Areen serves as the music director of the film.
