In a dazzling display of cinematic brilliance, Mostafa Sarwar Farooki's highly anticipated film, "Something Like an Autobiography," took the spotlight at the 28th Busan International Film Festival.

The red carpet event witnessed the film's stellar cast, including Farooki himself, the talented Nusrat Imrose Tisha, and their enchanting daughter, Illham, alongside the esteemed producer, Redoan Rony, gracing the occasion.

The film promises an intimate journey into the real lives of Farooki and Tisha, exploring the intricate tapestry of love, suspicion, and the multifaceted nature of human relationships.

About acting in a film for the first time, Farooki said, "Both Tisha and I knew from the time of writing the film 'Autobiography' that both of us would have to act in it. Initially, I had mixed feelings about it because acting is a vulnerable job. And in this story, acting is an even more vulnerable matter. After listening to Redwan Roni's story, he said, 'Come on, you have to do this character.' Even after that, if my doubts weren't dispelled, Tisha helped me make the decision. She said, 'You will only get to do this story once in your life. Just do it, please!' Then the rest is history..."

After the heart-pounding screening at the Busan Cinema Centre, Farooki poured his heart out, declaring, "Some films transcend scripts; they are woven from our vulnerabilities, dreams, desires, joy, and pain. 'Something Like An Autobiography' is one such gem."

The premiere, held at the Busan Cinema Centre Cinematheque, left an indelible mark on the international audience, reaffirming that a film doesn't merely conclude with the credits; it lingers, leaving an everlasting impact.

Farooki's eagerness to share the film with his Bangladeshi audience is palpable. "Can't wait for my Bangladeshi audience to experience this film," he expressed with infectious enthusiasm. Adding a touch of endearment, he highlighted the accreditation card for the youngest festival guest.

The excitement continues with a second screening and an engaging Q&A session at Cinema Centum City Four in Lotte, Busan. As the festival crescendos, the final screening is slated for October 11 at 9 pm at Lotte Cinema Centum City Ten Theatre.

Previously, Farooki shared on his Facebook that "Something Like an Autobiography" is more than just a movie; it's a heartfelt expression of love. He explained that the film is, in essence, a "love letter to our daughter Ilham." It can also be seen as a universal love letter to all daughters, written by their father or mother.
