Ferdousi Mazumder, a revered actress and playwright in Bangladesh's theatrical landscape, continues to grace the stage with her remarkable performances. She captivates audiences through her regular participation in theater productions. Recently, on the occasion of renowned filmmaker Abdullah Al Mamun's birth anniversary, her play titled ‘Meraj Fokirer Ma’ was staged at the Shilpakala Academy in the capital organised under the banner of ‘Theater’.
The play featured a talented cast, including Ferdousi Majumdar, Tofa Hossain, Ramendu Majumdar, Shekanul Islam Shahi, Apurbo Ahsan, Tropa Majumdar, Khurshid Alam, Jowardar Saif, Kalyan Choudhury and many more.
At the conclusion of the show, esteemed actress Ferdousi Mazumder was lauded by two members of ‘Theater’, Snigdha Srabon and Lita Khan.
Snigdha expressed, "I was previously associated with another theater group. For the past few years, I have been involved with ‘Theater’. Every senior member of this group has shown immense love towards me. Especially, dear Ferdousi Ma'am has always showered me with great affection. Even now, on stage, she exhibits an unparalleled energy and vitality. On that day, after the performance of 'Meraj Fokirer Ma,' she blessed us abundantly. It is overwhelming to hold her hand. Sometimes, I think how fortunate I am to be called by such a great artist, such a generous-hearted person. This birth itself seems meaningful. I pray that Allah keeps her in good health and happiness."
Furthermore, Lita Khan was honored at the ‘Ethik Tarunno Sommanona 2023’ event. Lita stated, "I have achieved more than what I desired in life, Alhamdulillah. The race began with the small organization, 'Shuvakash Ishara' in Madaripur. Then it continued in Udichi, Madaripur. Thanks and gratitude to Udichi because it is due to them that I am able to work in my dream theater group."
In addition, Lita Khan has recently starred in the YouTube released plays, ‘Noakhailya Bouer Tin Probashi Jamai’ and ‘Probashi'r Protarok Bou’. She also features in the popular television drama series ‘Joba’ on Deepto TV.
