As the excitement reaches its peak for the highly-anticipated film Jawan, starring Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan, the makers have treated fans to a vibrant music video of the film’s first track, ‘Zinda Banda.’ Adding to the delight, the song has been released in Tamil and Telugu languages as well, titled ‘Vandha Edam’ and ‘Dhumme Dhulipelaa,’ respectively.

According to Indian Express, The music video opens with Shah Rukh Khan’s electrifying entry, greeted with cheers from a group of women all dressed in the same attire. The megastar showcases his dance moves, alongside co-stars Sanya Malhotra and Priyamani. The song marks the reunion of SRK and Priyamani, who were last seen dancing together in the famous soundtrack ‘Get On The Floor’ from his film Chennai Express. The actor looks stunning in black trousers and a red shirt as he sets the screen on fire with his captivating dance moves in Zinda Banda. The song is composed by the acclaimed composer-singer Anirudh Ravichander, who is making his Bollywood debut with Jawan. The song’s lyrics are penned by Irshad Kamil, and Shobi Paulraj has choreographed the dance sequences.

‘Zinda Banda’ begins with SRK reciting a line written by poet Wasim Barelvi. The actor took to Twitter to thank the renowned poet for letting them use the lines written by him. “Usulo pe jahan aaye aanch, takrana zaroori hai (When your principles are under attack, you need to take up cudgels),” the couplet goes.

Like its first track, Jawan will also be released in three languages. Talking about the blurring of language barrier post pandemic, Anirudh had said, “After the pandemic and the OTT boom, it’s not a question of whether it is a Tamil or Hindi film. If a song becomes a hit, it goes viral on reels and all platforms. Language barriers are being broken. My first song, Kolaveri, did that.”

Talking about Jawan, Shah Rukh earlier said in a statement, “Jawan is a universal story that goes beyond languages, geographies and is for all to enjoy. Credit goes to Atlee for creating this unique film, which has also been a fantastic experience for me as I love action films! The teaser is the just tip of the iceberg and gives a glimpse into what’s to come.”

The film will hit the theatres on September 7.
