4-day international art exhibition begins at DU

A four-day international art exhibition titled 'Harmony Unbound' with the joint participation of artists from Bangladesh, Malaysia and Indonesia was began today at Zainul Gallery of Dhaka University (DU) Fine Arts Faculty. 

DU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Md. Akhtaruzzaman today inaugurated the exhibition as the chief guest at a function attended by Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh Heru Hartanto Subolo as guest of honor.  
Chaired by DU graphic design department Vadreshu Rita, Fine Arts faculty dean Professor Nisar Hossain, Rector of Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia Nur Hisham Ibrahim, Deputy Rector of Indonesian Cultural Art Institute of Bandung Prof. Dr. Supriatn and Associate Professor DU Graphic Design Department Harun-ur-Rashid also addressed the function.

Dr Akhtaruzzaman congratulated the artists of Dhaka University, Malaysia and Indonesia who participated in this exhibition and said that this kind of arrangements is very important in conducting a joint collaborative education and research activities. 

A total of 24 artworks by 12 artists from Dhaka University Graphic Design Department, 9 artworks by 8 artists Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia and 3 artworks by 3 artists from Indonesian Cultural Art Institute of Bandung are displayed in this exhibition.

This exhibition will continue till November 5 which will be opened to all from 10am to 8pm each day.
