In a solemn ceremony held at Forest Lawn cemetery in the Hollywood Hills, Matthew Perry, renowned for his role as Chandler Bing in the beloved sitcom 'Friends', was laid to rest.

The private funeral, attended by his co-stars Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, and Lisa Kudrow, saw about 20 mourners paying their last respects.

The iconic Forest Lawn cemetery, known for being the final resting place of several Hollywood legends including Humphrey Bogart, Nat King Cole, and Michael Jackson, served as a fitting location for Perry's burial. Perry's parents, Suzanne Perry, and stepfather Keith Morrison, as well as his father John Bennett Perry, joined the 'Friends' ensemble in bidding farewell.

Perry, who passed away at the age of 54 due to an apparent drowning at his Los Angeles residence, had been candid about his struggles with substance abuse and addiction.

In his memory, the Matthew Perry Foundation has been established, dedicated to aiding individuals grappling with similar challenges. The foundation aims to continue Perry's legacy, guided by his words and experiences, with a mission to make a positive impact on as many lives as possible.

Reflecting on his wishes, Perry had expressed, "When I die, I don't want 'Friends' to be the first thing that's mentioned - I want helping others to be the first thing that's mentioned."

The precise cause and manner of Perry's passing will be determined by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's Office upon completion of an autopsy, including toxicology tests.
