The ‘Green-e Shampurna Award 2024’ was awarded to successful women from various sectors of Bangladesh's cultural sphere at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy Auditorium on Sunday in evening.
Renowned actress and filmmaker Rozina inaugurated the programme. Many award-winning actors, writers, authors, and novelists were present at the event.
Veteran actress Mily Bashar was honoured with the 'Lifetime Achievement' award at the ceremony.
Naziba Bashar was honoured for Journalism, Shanta Jahan for presentation, Jotika Joti for Acting, Korniya for Music, Dr Maliha Rashid for Medicine, Shobnom Faria for Acting, Anima Roy for Rabindra Music, Jahanara Alam for Sports and Kakali Saha for Culinary Arts were awarded for their contributions.
In addition, successful women from various sectors, including sports, were awarded the 'Sampoorna Bangladesh' award. Subrata Dey, founder of 'Sampoorna Bangladesh', Swarnalata Devnath, president, and Tahmina Ahmed Rozi, general secretary of 'Sampoorna Bangladesh' expressed their gratitude to all the women present at the ceremony.
Cultural personality Selina Hossain said, "It was a great feeling to be able to honour successful women in various fields. It is also our responsibility and duty to inspire women. I wish all the best to Sampurna Bangladesh."
Rozina said, "Sampurna Bangladesh's event was excellent. I thank Subrata and Swarnalata Debnathh for their sincerity. I hope this trend of working with women continues in the future."
