A group art exhibition by 27 modern & contemporary artists titled ‘Behind the Numbers’ will begin tomorrow at Galleri Kaya, Uttara in the capital.
The inaugural ceremony of the exhibition will be held tomorrow at 5:30 pm on the gallery premises, where music director and composer Shujeo Shyam and architect Mustafa Ameen will be present.
A selection of 83 works in Bronze, Brass, Ceramic, Raku ceramic, Aluminum, Pen, Lithograph, Woodcut, Wood engraving, Watercolor, Etching, Aquatint, Intaglio, Acrylic and mixed media will be showcased in this exhibition.
The participating artists are- Hamiduzzaman Khan(1946), Abul Barq Alvi(1949), Chandra Shekhar Dey(1951), Ratan Mojumder(1954), Manoj Dutta(1956), Ranjit Das(1956), Ivy Zaman(1958), Ajit Seal(1959), Pankaj Panwar(1961), Goutam Chakraborty(1965), Akhil Chandra Das(1966), Atin Basak(1966), Swarup Basak(1969), Syed Golam Dastagir(1970), Debashish Pal(1971), Monidipa Dasgupta(1973), Mukti Bhowmik(1973), Nagarbasi Barman(1973), Jayanta Naskar(1975), Sheikh Md Rokonuzzaman(1976), Ashraful Hasan(1977), Habiba Akther Papia(1977), Tejosh Halder Josh(1982), Shahanoor Mamun(1986), Nabaraj Roy(1989), Hasura Akter Rumky(1994) and Ritusree Das(1996).
The show will remain open to all every day from 11: 30 am to 8:00 pm, until November 25.
