Habib Wahid and Nancy are collaborating once again for a duet version of ‘Bondhu Rey’ nine months after the song was released by Habib Wahid in his voice in July 2020.
The duet version of the song is scheduled to be released on Habib Wahid’s YouTube channel on Saturday night.
‘Bondhu Rey’ was penned by Ali Baker Zico and tuned and composed by Habib Wahid.
The song has got fulfillment in the duet version with new music arrangement, Habib said in a post on his verified Facebook page Thursday. He also dropped a poster of the song in the post.
Talking to The Business Post, Nancy said: “The song was supposed to be a duet at the very first. A few lines of its lyrics were dropped when Habib bhai made it a solo last year. Later, he thought that the song would bring the full vibes in duet.”
In the duet version, the lyrics will remain unchanged along with restoration of the dropped lines,” she added.
Nancy informed that she and Habib Wahid have three other fresh duet songs recorded prior to the onset of the pandemic in 2020 which remained unreleased due to the situation caused by Covid-19.
Habib Wahid and Nancy were last seen collaborating in a reprise version of their hit duet ‘Tumi Je Amar Thikana’ in 2019.
Nancy further said that she is also gearing up to release a recreated version of ‘Harano Diner Moto Hariye Gecho Tumi’, marking Eid-ul-Fitr, a song which was originally sung by Mitali Mukherjee and tuned by Alauddin Ali with words from Moniruzzaman Monir.
