2023 marked a successful year for the film industry. Apart from festivals, audiences flocked to theaters more than before. Priyotoma is a romantic action film. The film was directed by Himel Ashraf, his second directional, and produced by Arshad Adnan under the banner of Versatile Media. The film story was written by the late Faruk Hossain alone and Himel Ashraf jointly wrote the screenplay and dialogues with him. It is the highest-grossing Bangladeshi film of 2023 and also the highest-grossing Bangladeshi film of all time. TK 41.23 crore or US$3.8 million. Leader: Amie Bangladesh

Leader: Amie Bangladesh is a political thriller film directed by Topu Khan and produced by Syed Ashik Rahman under the banner of Bengal Multimedia. It revolves around Nafees Iqbal (Shakib Khan), a conscious young man who embarked on a transformative journey to rid society of corruption and the misuse of political power, featuring Shobnom Bubly, Misha Sawdagor, Shahiduzzaman Selim in the lead roles. It is the second highest-grossing Bangladeshi film of 2023 after Shakib Khan's 2023 all-time blockbuster Priyotoma, which is the highest-grossing film of the year and also it is one of the highest-grossing Bangladeshi films of all time. After the release of the film, it received a huge response at the box office. According to various media reports, almost every show of it was housefull on the first day. It was a superhit at the box office with a gross collection of over TK9.5 crore (US$890,000).

Surongo

Surongo is a crime thriller film directed by Raihan Rafi and produced by Alpha-i and Chorki. The film features Afran Nisho and Toma Mirza as lead roles. It is the debut film of Afran Nisho on the big screen. According to several media reports, the film's total gross collection is 4.45 crore (equivalent to US$410,000).
