Bangladeshi moviegoers are in for a cinematic treat as popular actor Ferdous Ahmed is taking the center stage in two films released within just a week.

Ferdous Ahmed, a well-known face in Bangladeshi cinema and a recipient of the National Film Award, has made a remarkable comeback with the film "Mike," directed by FM Shaheen and Hasan Zafarul Vipul. The movie, which revolves around the iconic March 7 speech by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, was released yesterday.

In "Mike," Ferdous shares the spotlight with Tariq Anam Khan and Tanvin Sweety, creating an emotionally charged story that highlights the pivotal role of Bangabandhu's speech in shaping the nation's history.

Adding to the excitement, Ferdous stars in the upcoming film "1971: Shei Shob Din," directed by Hridi Haq. The movie provides an intimate look into the broader struggle for independence.

Ferdous Ahmed stated, "Incorporating the historic March 7th speech of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the Father of the Nation, 'Mike' is the first children's film that brings our journey to independence to life. It's incredible that we are experiencing 'Mike' this month, which holds a deep connection with the significant events of March 7th. It's a reminder of how Bangladesh gained its freedom through Bangabandhu's speech.

"Additionally, my heart has been deeply involved in crafting the intense story of '1971: Shei Shob Din,' which Hridi makes with the stories of father in mind. This film not only appeals to viewers' emotions but also carries a sense of responsibility for me as an artist. Even in my role in 'Mike,' I was deeply dedicated. Similarly, during '1971: Shei Shob Din,' my commitment as an artist was the same. Truth be told, both films have engaging stories from different perspectives. As an artist, I always strive to uphold my responsibilities. I've dedicated myself wholeheartedly in both movies. I encourage the audience to enjoy these two films, as they carry the essence of our rich history."

As "1971: Those Days" hits theaters on August 18, Ferdous Ahmed's cinematic journey continues to captivate, reminding us of the power of storytelling to bring history to life.
