In an exclusive interview with Elle India, renowned Hollywood actor Jessica Alba delved into her remarkable journey in the entertainment industry, shedding light on her experiences as a young performer and navigating the complexities of Hollywood as a woman.

Alba, who embarked on her acting career at the tender age of 13, initially gained recognition for her portrayal in the hit series Dark Angel at 19.

Despite her early start, she revealed that her path to success wasn't without its challenges. However, she emphasised that her experience wasn't marred by trauma, attributing much of her security to the constant presence of her mother, Catherine Jensen, on set.

Reflecting on her resilience in the face of potential risks, Alba remarked, "I could have been a potential target for a predator, but luckily, I wasn’t." She expressed gratitude for her mother's unwavering support, acknowledging that her vigilant presence played a pivotal role in safeguarding her from discomfort.

Throughout her illustrious over-three-decade career, Alba has demonstrated her versatility through a diverse array of roles, spanning from light-hearted comedies to intense dramas. Recounting her journey, she admitted to maintaining a vigilant demeanour, stating, "I never let my guard down. I was always pretty tough, pretty in-your-face about it."

Alba's impressive filmography includes notable performances in Hollywood Pictures' “Camp Nowhere” (1994), the critically acclaimed “Sin City” (2005), and the action-packed “Fantastic Four” (2005), where she portrayed Sue Storm “The Invisible Girl.” Her enduring presence in the industry is a testament to her talent and determination.
