Popular actress Purnima, known for her captivating performances in Dhallywood films, is set to return to the silver screen after a long hiatus. Her upcoming film, titled "Ahare Jibon", is scheduled to release during the Eid festival.

Purnima has captivated audiences with her beauty and acting prowess for decades. Despite her age, she continues to radiate charm and has delivered numerous hit films throughout her career. Her versatility extends beyond the silver screen, as she has also made a mark in television and has even dabbled in hosting.

While Purnima has not been seen regularly in acting roles lately, she is thrilled about the release of "Ahare Jibon". The film, directed by renowned filmmaker Chhotku Ahmed, tells the story of the coronavirus pandemic and its impact on people's lives.

"I am very excited about the release of this film," Purnima expressed. "It's been a long time since any of my films have hit the theatres. I used to have multiple releases a year, but that's not the case anymore because I haven't been acting regularly."

"Having a film release during Eid is always a special occasion for an actor," she added. "It brings immense joy, and the excitement doubles when it happens during the festive season."

Purnima will be sharing the screen with veteran actor and current Member of Parliament Ferdous Ahmed in "Ahare Jibon". The film also features Suchorita, Joy Chowdhury, Misha Sawdagor, Aruna Biswas and many more.

The actress expressed high hopes for the film, praising the director's work and the unique storyline.

"I have high expectations for this film," she remarked. "Chhotku bhai is a talented filmmaker, and the story revolves around the coronavirus pandemic. It's a story filled with memories of that challenging time. I worked alongside Ferdous in this film, and I believe it will be a well-received project. The audience will experience a different kind of story, a clean and wholesome one," she continued.

Despite her limited appearances in films, Purnima remains active in the entertainment industry through her hosting work. She acknowledges the differences between acting and hosting and emphasises the importance of choosing projects that align with her preferences and the audience's expectations.

"Cinema is a vast field, and hosting is a different aspect of entertainment," she explained. "As an actor, I want to work consistently, but I need to find projects that resonate with me and the audience."

"Most of the film scripts I receive don't align with my sensibilities," she added. "I need to consider the character and the overall project. It's not about rushing into contracts without proper consideration. I don't want to increase the number of films and end up facing criticism from the audience."
