Promising actress Nawba Tahiya, came into discussion as a new actress after playing the role of Borsha in a drama titled “Ferar Golpo”, which was aired on June 2022 on BTV. Written by Kazi Nurul Huda Jahangir and produced by Sahariar Mohammad Hasan, she was the main character of the play.
After that, she acted in BTV's weekly dramas “Adalat”, “Madhyabitta”, “Swapna Mrittu Bhalobasa” and Eid-ul-Azha special drama “Madhujatra”. However, Nawba came to the limelight for her exceptional role in the drama “Chupichupi” opposite Niloy Alamgir directed by Imraul Rafat. Other popular dramas starring Nawba include Rubel Anush's “Salish”, “Meghful”, “Prothom Premer Banan Bhul” (short film) and other directors' “Bunohaas”, “Bisarjan”, “Boddo Maya Lage”, “Sohojatri”, and “Jed”. Partha Sheikh was opposite her in most of the dramas. Nawba is studying in the second year of higher secondary in a college inside the capital's Dhaka cantonment.
Nawba Tahiya said about her plan, “I have acted in various challenging roles with good stories within a very short time. I want to play challenging roles more in the future, so that, the directors have supreme confidence in me and that the audience also loves my work. Whatever role is offered to me, I can accept it and I want to become a perfect actress.”
Nawba now hosts the musical programme “Cinemar Priyo Gaan” which is being aired on SATV. After acting as a model in the advertisement for Grameen Phone under the direction of Shahriar Palak, she worked in about 25 more advertisements.
