Shakib Khan, the star of the Eid-released blockbuster film "Toofan", attended a special film screening with the movie’s cast and crew at the Sony Square branch of Star Cineplex, Dhaka on Monday. He and the others sat among the audience, including invited celebrities and guests, and enjoyed the entire film.

Speaking at the event, Shakib Khan said, "Even though Eid is over, the way people across the country are enjoying ‘Toofan’ leaves no doubt where this success will end. My family members are also saying that they are not getting tickets. I express my gratitude and love to all the viewers."

Addressing the film's producer, Shakib jokingly said, "Earlier, I had said that if ‘Toofan’ earns Tk 100 crore, I will get 25 per cent of the profit. ‘Toofan’ is now set for pan-India and international release. So if the film earns another Tk 100 crore, I’ll get paid Tk 50 crore!"

Apart from Shakib, the special screening of the film was also attended by Shahriar Shakil, Redoan Rony, Mahendra Soni, director Raihan Rafi, actors Chanchal Chowdhury and Masuma Rahman Nabila.

Other invited artists included Arifin Shuvoo, Bindu, Runa Khan, Prince Mahmud, Roshan, Ashfaq Nipun and many more.

The film stars Shakib Khan as a 90s gangster. He is joined by an ensemble cast that includes Gunjan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Mimi Chakraborty, Nabila, Misha Sawdagor, Gazi Rakayet, Salauddin Lavlu, and Shahiduzzaman Selim.

The film's ending has left many fans wondering if there will be a sequel. The filmmakers have not yet confirmed anything, but the ending does leave the door open for a continuation of the story.

In a recent interview, director Raihan Rafi expressed his gratitude to the audience for the film's success. He said, "The love of the people is our inspiration. The storm of 'Toofan' is raging and will continue to rage. Due to the pressure from the audience, some hall owners have decided to run shows till dawn. This is going to be a record for Bengali cinema. I thank the audience from my heart."
