Ihtisham Ahmed Tingku, an actor and writer hailing from Dinajpur has recently starred in the drama “Baba Someone's Following Me.”
His passion for acting began at a very young age. Coming from a family of highly educated professionals, his aspirations were initially met with resistance. Despite this, Tingku's dream of working in showbiz never wavered, and after navigating many challenging paths, he finally succeeded.
Reflecting on his journey into the entertainment industry, Tingku shared, “I come from a well-educated family. They hoped that after graduation, I would take the BCS exam and pursue a government job. However, I had different plans.”
Tingku's portfolio is impressive, with roles in numerous movies, dramas, and advertisements. His notable works include “Surongo,” “Omimangshito,” “Chompa House,” “Karnish,” and “Shesh Iccha.” He has also appeared in advertisements for brands such as Grameenphone, UNICEF, PandaMart, and ASUS. Additionally, he has authored several books.
Working in films has been a significant privilege for Tingku. He particularly enjoyed collaborating with directors Vicky Zahed and Raihan Rafi. He said, “I always enjoy working with Vicky as I have known him for a long time. His sets offer great flexibility. Raihan Rafi is an excellent director as well. I enjoy working with him, and he has taught me many aspects of acting.”
Looking ahead, Tingku is determined to continue his acting career. He also envisions establishing a film school with government support, aiming to contribute to his country and inspire future generations. “I want to give my all for the country and the future generations,” Tingku expressed with heartfelt commitment.
