In the absence of the proper traffic police force for nearly a week, students have taken it upon themselves to manage traffic regulations in Dhaka, earning widespread praise from the city's residents.

Renowned actor and chairman of Nirapad Sarak Chai (NISCHA), Ilias Kanchan, has joined the students in their efforts and admired their disciplined approach.

Kanchan remarked, "I've observed that none of the students are sitting idle, even for a moment. They have taken to the streets with a commitment to ensuring the safety of the public and they have embraced their task wholeheartedly."

"I've also noticed that drivers are strictly following the students' instructions. They do so out of respect," Kanchan noted. "In truth, those who enforce the rules must command respect. Only then will there be a genuine motivation to follow the rules from the heart. However when corruption and bribery are involved, that respect is lost."

Kanchan has suggested that the students' initiative should continue for at least two to five years to instil lasting discipline and create safer roads. Meanwhile, NISCHA has pledged its support for the student's efforts and launched simultaneous traffic management initiatives nationwide.

The voluntary efforts of the students and the support of NISCHA have provided a new model for traffic management, emphasising the role of dedicated individuals in shaping the future of road safety in the capital.
