Evergreen actress Jaya Ahsan-starrer movie ‘Fereshte’ directed by Iranian director Murtaza Atash Zamzam has been selected for the 42nd International Fajr Film Festival in Tehran, Iran. The film 'Fereshte' was screened as the opening film of the festival on February 1.

The film was screened to compete in the main category of the festival. Out of 106 Iranian films, only 22 movies, including ‘Fereshte’, have been selected to participate in the competition.

This romantic and humanistic blend of screenplays is co-written by Murtaza Atash Zamzam and Mumit Al Rashid. The film has given special attention to the beauty of the socio-cultural and customs of Bangladesh.

Other cats of the film include this year's National Film Award-winning actress Rikita Nandini Shimu, actors Shahiduzzaman Salim, Shahed Ali, Shaheen Mridha, France's John Paul Sarmadius and child artist Sathi.

Rikita Nandini Shimu and Mumit Al Rashid along with Jaya Ahsan and Suman Farooq attended the 42nd International Fajr Film Festival in Tehran.

Jaya Ahsan said about the film, “The work was very challenging. The entire team including the director spoke in their native language. But films have no language. That's why we all connected strangely with their team.”

The actress also talked about her character in the movie. She will be seen in such a struggling and courageous character of the underprivileged people of our country.

Meanwhile, Jaya's co-artist Suman Farooq said “I believe that 'Fereshte' will win the hearts of the audience when it is released in the theaters like the film festivals of different countries around the world and at the same time it will be well received by the audience.”

Jaya Ahsan and Suman Farooq have been giving good news one after the other. The duo's movie 'Fereshte' was screened at the recently concluded Dhaka International Film Festival. A few days before this, the movie was also screened at the 54th Goa International Film Festival, India.
