Following media reports that the actors were confirmed for a new historical romance series, Jo Jung Suk’s agency JAM Entertainment revealed on December 23 that after receiving an offer for the lead role in new drama “Sejak,” they are currently positively reviewing it.
On the same day, Shin Se Kyung’s agency EDAM Entertainment shared a similar statement, revealing the actress was currently reviewing her offer, reports Soompi.
Written by Kim Sun Deok of tvN’s “The Crowned Clown,” “Sejak” draws the cruel love story between King Yi In, who is in danger of both royal and political power struggles, and Kang Hee Soo, who tries to seduce the King and get revenge, but gets seduced instead.
Jo Jung Suk has received an offer for the role of King Yi In, while Shin Se Kyung is in talks to play Kang Hee Soo.
Currently, Jo Jung Suk is awaiting the premieres of his films “The Land of Happiness” (working title) and “Pilot.” In 2023, Shin Se Kyung is set to star in the second season of tvN’s “Arthdal Chronicles.”
