In a recent interview with Film Companion, renowned Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor highlighted the significance of being a proficient actor in the journey to stardom. While expressing her contentment with the industry, she dismissed the notion that physical attributes alone, such as six-pack abs, can make someone a star.

During the interview, Kareena refrained from naming individuals but lauded her cousin, Ranbir Kapoor, as a 'phenomenal actor.' When questioned about her earlier remark suggesting actors have improved since Ranbir's time, she affirmed that becoming a great actor and achieving stardom now go hand in hand.

"I'm so happy that we are finally there," Kareena stated, emphasizing that talent and the ability to connect with the audience are essential for sustained success. She expressed her disapproval of the emphasis on physical appearance, humorously remarking, "Please wear your T-shirt first. I can’t even look at you right now."

Kareena asserted that the industry is evolving, and actors with genuine talent will stand the test of time. She cited actor Bobby Deol as an example, praising his ability to explore diverse roles. In the interview, Bobby Deol acknowledged the challenges of finding roles that allow actors to showcase their talents.

"Now, if you are a good actor, you are going to survive a long time," Kareena affirmed, predicting a promising future for actors who prioritize skill over superficial attributes. She pointed to Bobby Deol as evidence of an artist who, after a period of exploration, is now getting the opportunities he deserves.

Kareena Kapoor's recent projects include Sujoy Ghosh's "Jaane Jaan" alongside Jaydeep Ahlawat and Vijay Varma. Her upcoming releases include Hansal Mehta's "The Buckingham Murders," where she plays a detective, and "The Crew," co-starring Tabu and Kriti Sanon. Additionally, she is set to appear in Rohit Shetty's "Singham Again" alongside Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Ranveer Singh, slated for release on Independence Day 2024.
