Kim Kardashian is set to star in a thriller film for Amazon MGM Studios. The project, based on an original idea by Natalie Krinsky, is currently in its early stages, with plot details kept under wraps.
Krinsky, known for her work on "The Broken Hearts Gallery" and "Gossip Girl," will also write the script and produce alongside Kardashian and Bruna Papandrea of Made Up Stories.
This marks the latest acting venture for Kardashian, who recently starred in FX's "American Horror Story: Delicate" and is currently appearing in the Hulu series "The Kardashians."
Similar to that sale, Kardashian was very hands-on in the process, appearing at every pitch meeting in recent weeks with Krinsky. It is expected that Kardashian will play a big part in the marketing, just like she is with Netflix on The Fifth Wheel.
Kardashian has been proactive in ramping up her acting over the past year and early on in the process has been taking general meetings with writers and producers, with Krinsky being one of the first.
During that initial meeting, the idea was hatched by Krinsky for Kardashian, and since then the writer has put together an impressive presentation delivered at each meeting.
This package is now part of a growing slate for Kardashian that includes The Fifth Wheel, from Paula Pell and Janine Brito, and of course her Hulu unscripted series The Kardashians. She also is coming off a scene-stealing role in the most recent season of FX’s American Horror Story that drew strong notices. She’s looking to build off that and jump into the feature film realm.
