Renowned singer Kumar Bishwajit is set to release a new song today, titled "Nibir Opekkha Korchhe," dedicated to his only child, Nibir Kumar.

Nibir has been in critical condition for the past eight months following a tragic accident in Canada. The singer has stood steadfastly by his son's side throughout this challenging period.

The upcoming song explores Kumar Bishwajit's personal journey through grief and earnest supplication in the hopes of his son's recovery. The song will be unveiled from 18 prominent banners across the country, underscoring the widespread anticipation and support from fans and the music community.

Penned by Hasanuzzaman Masum, the emotionally charged lyrics include lines such as "Bristy ekhon ar bhalo lagena… Tobu Sarakkhon amar hridoy mon Nibir opekkha korche," loosely translated to convey the singer's sentiments about the rain symbolizing earnest tears and the clouds reflecting the pain in his heart as he waits for his beloved Nibir.

Kumar Biswajit, anxiously awaiting Nibir in a Canadian hospital corridor, opened up about the emotional depth of his song: "I hesitate to label it a mere song; it's a father's desperate plea. The tragic incident with Nibir and his classmates extinguished my will to sing. Months pass as I gaze at my son's face in this foreign land, yearning to hear his voice. The absence of Nibir's three classmates perpetually cloaks me in paternal sorrow."

Reflecting on the song's genesis, Kumar Biswajit shared, "During a brief visit to Dhaka, Kishore and Masum persistently urged me to create a song. Despite my repeated dismissals, they crafted a demo. Upon hearing it, the lyrics felt like my own resonating with the silent cries within. I, now a stoic figure, must confess that singing this song thawed the stone within me if only just a little."

Tragically, the accident that left Nibir Kumar critically injured also claimed the lives of three Bangladeshi students in Canada's Toronto city on February 13 of last year. The deceased were identified as Shahriar Khan, Angela Barai, and Aryan Dipta, all of whom were students at Humber College at the time of the unfortunate incident.
