Bangladeshi music band Meghdol is set to perform at a special concert in Kolkata on March 16. The event will be held at Jadavpur University's "Sanskriti" festival, marking the band's fourth concert in the city and their first at the prestigious university.

Expressing their excitement, Meghdol vocalist Shibu Kumer Shill highlighted the significance of Jadavpur University's vibrant cultural scene. "We are thrilled to be part of the 'Sanskriti' festival," Shill said. "The university campus is known for its annual celebrations, and it's an honour to perform there."

The concert will be the concluding event of the "Sanskriti" festival, organised by the Arts Faculty Students' Union. Meghdol will follow Kolkata-based band Dohar's performance on March 15.

The current roster of the band features Shibu Kumer Shill and Mejbaur Rahman Sumon on vocals, Rasheed Sharif Shoaib on guitar, Tanbeer Dawood Rony on piano and organ, MG Kibria on bass, Shourov Sarkar on flute, and Amzad Hossain on drums.

This upcoming concert comes on the heels of Meghdol's successful performances in Chattogram, Jashore, and the grand "Joy Bangla Concert." The band is known for its captivating live shows and continues to bridge the cultural gap between Bangladesh and India with their music.
