Mimi and Nabila join Shakib Khan in ‘Toofan’

There has been much speculation about which actress will be seen in the Shakib Khan starrer film “Toofan”. Netizens have suggested many names at various times. Now the casting for the film has been finalised. Tollywood actor Mimi Chakraborty and “Aynabaji” famed actress Masuma Rahman Nabila will be seen opposite Shakib in “Toofan”, said a press release.

Directed by Raihan Rafi, “Toofan” is produced by Indian film production and distribution company Shree Venkatesh Films (SVF), Alpha-i Studios, and OTT platform Chorki. Raihan Rafi announced the movie “Toofan” last December in a grand event. At that time the name of the hero was announced, but the leading lady of the film was not disclosed at that time.

Regarding this, Mimi Chakraborty said, “I visited Bangladesh several times for work or travel. It is always a pleasure for me to work there. Also, this is going to be my first movie with Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan. Three production companies of the two countries have teamed up through this movie. I am very excited for the movie. The audience is also going to get something great.”

Nabila came to the limelight by acting in the movie “Aynabaji”. After this movie, she was not seen in any other movie, now she is returning to the film with “Toofan”.

Nabila regarding this film said, “There is a kind of joy in working again. Also, there is an excitement to return to the big screen after so long. I hope the audience will get to watch something great.”

The film is likely to hit the theatres on the occasion of Eid-ul Azha.
