According to Cine Kolkata, ‘Hubba’ presents a captivating mix of thriller and comedy, exploring the enigmatic criminal life of Hubba Shyamal, who was known as the ‘Dawood Ibrahim of Hooghly.’ His criminal record included murder, drug trafficking, and other heinous crimes, yet he always managed to secure bail despite multiple police cases.
Under Firdausul Hasan’s production company, ‘Friends Communication,’ ‘Hubba‘ is the second film by the prolific producer-director duo, Bratya Basu and Firdousal Hasan. The film reunites Mosharraf Karim with Bengali cinema, though audiences have already enjoyed his commendable work in several web series during the OTT era.
