Naim-Shabnaz, the iconic power couple of the Bangladeshi film industry, celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary yesterday, marking three decades of a successful partnership in both their personal and professional lives.

The couple, who continue to captivate audiences with their stellar performances, are currently residing in Canada, where their two children, Namira and Mahadia, are pursuing their education.

Naim-Shabnaz, the beloved stars of films such as "Chandni", "Sonia", "Dil", "Bisher Bashi", "Chokhe Chokhe" and "Anutopto" have enjoyed immense popularity among audiences over the years. Their on-screen chemistry and exceptional acting skills have made them an inseparable duo in the hearts of cinephiles.

Their journey in the film industry began with the movie "Bisher Bashi" directed by Shafi Uddin. It was during the filming of this movie that their off-screen relationship blossomed into a profound love.

Naim fondly recalls, "In this film, Shabnaz's character was named Moyna. Since then, I've always called her Moyna. Thanks to Allah, we are doing very well. We are grateful to Him for bestowing us with happiness and strength."

Tragically, in 1994, Naim's father, Khwaja Murad, passed away, deeply affecting him emotionally. However, the couple's love and support for each other only grew stronger, becoming a beacon of strength during their shared joys and sorrows.

Shabnaz expresses, "I have found a complete human being full of endless mercy from Allah in Naim. Just as he has always been by my side in happiness and sorrow, I have been by his side too. We have built a beautiful life and a happy family. Thanks to Allah, we are two proud parents of two wonderful children. I say proud because Namira and Mahadia are pursuing their education abroad with their own capabilities and merit."

As they reflect on their remarkable journey, Naim Shabnaz have expressed that, for now, there are no plans to return to acting. Instead, they are focused on their children's education and well-being.
