Nasir Uddin will be seen in the lead role in the movie “Boli (The Wrestler)” written and directed by Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury. The shooting of the government-funded movie has been completed. However, the movie has already received a lot of praise from the members of the Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
In this context, Nasir Uddin said, "I played the role of a tough fisherman of seashore in the movie “Boli”. I feel that the movie will be a very regional and international movie at the same time. I believe the story of this movie has all the potential to become a classic movie.
Producer Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury said that the movie was continuously shot in the coastal area of Chittagong in April-May 2022. Even before that, the audition of the movie took place for a long time. A group of young talented artists from Chittagong and Dhaka worked in this movie. The movie is likely to hit the theaters later this year.
It is known that the movie “Boli (The Wrestler)” received a grant from the Bangladesh government in the financial year 2020-21. In September 2022, 'Boli' (The Wrestler) was nominated as a preliminary selection for the Hubert Bals Fund, one of the world's leading film funds.
The script of the movie, till the final stage, has competed in India's NFDC Film Bazaar co-production market. This government-funded movie is produced by Piplu R Khan. Besides, it has Saiful Azam and Gousul Alam Shaon as co-producers.
