It is been more than six years since Nayak Raj Razzak is no more. Today is the 82nd birth anniversary of the legendary actor.

To mark the day in a befitting manner, his family and television Channels have chalked out elaborate programmes throughout the day that include discussion, talk-show, and film screenings. Some close friends and family will meet in the evening to refresh the memories of Nayak Raj Razzak. However, the Bangladesh Film Artiste’s Association does not take any steps to observe the day.

Razzak’s youngest son, Khalid Hossain Samrat told the media, “To be honest, time flies and the excitement about someone's birthday is diminishing. Once there was a big party on my father's birthday. I enjoyed that time a lot. But nowadays, I always pray for my father. I go to my father's grave, I will go today too. Praying to Allah that he may grant my father heaven. If my father hurt anyone please forgive him. I asked everyone to pray for my father. We really have no idea about whether someone made special arrangements for the birthday or not. We even don’t think about it. It feels nice that my father is still alive in the hearts of many. People love my father, and this is something I know as many talk about him and share his memories to date.”

Born in Nagtola in Taliganj of Kolkata, Nayak Raj Razzak acted in different characters in the Kolkata-based film industry before migrating to Dhaka in 1964.
