Rapper Nicki Minaj offered her apologies to fans after a last-minute cancellation of her Manchester concert due to an arrest in the Netherlands.

Minaj, 41, was supposed to perform at the Co-op Live arena on Saturday night. However, she was detained by Dutch authorities on suspicion of carrying drugs, forcing the show's postponement.

"I apologise for all the inconvenience this has caused," Minaj wrote on social media. "I really hope you can make the June 3rd show. It'll be really special."

The rapper explained she spent "five to six hours in custody" at Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport before being released and allowed to fly out. Dutch prosecutors allege she possessed cannabis, though Minaj claims the confiscated items belonged to her security guard.

While small amounts of cannabis are tolerated in the Netherlands, it technically remains illegal to possess, sell, or produce drugs in the country.

"I'll have the lawyers and god takes it from here tho," Minaj wrote on X in a defiant message. "They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass."

The cancellation left roughly 20,000 fans disappointed, many of whom had travelled long distances and waited for hours at the venue. Promoter Live Nation announced the postponement around 9:40 PM BST on Saturday.

Minaj's "Barbz" fan base expressed their frustration on social media. However, the rapper continued her Pink Friday 2 world tour with a performance in Birmingham on Sunday night.

"The most important thing was to say from the bottom of my heart, thank you for being here tonight," she told the Birmingham crowd at Resorts World Arena.
