Renowned Bangladeshi actress, Purnima, took a hiatus from her acting career for a few months. Her latest release was in Ami's web series 'Hotel Relax'. However, no new projects have been observed since then.
Over the past few months, she has been spending her time in her own way. During this period, she had a contract with a well-established company, EVA Non-Sticky Coconut Hair Oil, where she worked as a model for their online advertisements. This contract lasted for one and a half years, and after its conclusion, she has signed another two-year contract with the company.
When asked about her future plans, Purnima mentioned, "After 'Hotel Relax,' I did receive a few scripts. However, I wasn't in the mood to take on any new projects. So, I spent some quality time with my family. I've spent my time as I pleased.
"The contract with this company also concluded after one and a half years. They have renewed my contract for another two years. I will be part of the shooting for the company's new advertisement in the middle of next month. After that, I'll consider if I receive a good script for a new movie, drama, or web series."
Purnima has recently completed her work in Chotku Ahmed film, 'Ahare Jibon'. She shares the screen with Ferdous in this project. Additionally, she has wrapped up her work in two films directed by Nayeem Imtiaz Neyamul, 'Jam' and 'Gangchil'.
Purnima, born on July 11, 1984, has gained fame for films like ‘Sontan Jokhon Shotru’, 'Premer Nam Bedona', 'Sultan', ‘Moner Majhe Tumi’, ‘Shami Strir Juddho’, ‘Hridoyer Kotha’ among others.
She has also received the National Film Award for 'Best Actress' for her performance in Jakir Hossain Raju's film 'Ora Amake Bhalo Hote Dilo Na'. Her acting career spans over 80 films.
