NTV is set to air the highly anticipated drama "Bongsho Prodip," directed by Rahim Sumon tomorrow. The drama is penned by Ayon Chowdhury and produced by Obaidul Islam Himel.

"Bongsho Prodip" stars Fazlur Rahman Babu, Golam Kibria Tanvir, Moushumi Hamid, Badal Shahid and many others.

The story revolves around retired headmaster Rashed Mridha who lives alone at home. After a long time, Rashed's only son Shubhro comes to visit from Canada with his wife Rima and his 6-year-old son Ratul. The house is filled with joy and excitement. Rashed develops a great bond with his grandson Ratul. Rashed forgets his loneliness in an instant.

As time goes by, it is time for Shubhro and his family to return to Canada. Rashed is heartbroken. The father wants his son to stay with him, while the son wants his future. Thus the story goes on.

Director Sumon said, “‘Bongsho Prodip’ is a family drama that explores the complexities of a father-son relationship. The story unfolds as the son, who resides abroad, returns to Bangladesh with his family. The drama highlights the themes of patriotism, language movement, and respect.”

Actor Fazlur Rahman Babu said, “This drama goes beyond a typical father-son story. I hope that this drama will educate the younger generation about the struggles, sacrifices, and love that Bangladesh was built upon.”

“Bongsho Prodip” will air at 9:30pm on NTV tomorrow.
