Portraying a heartfelt tribute to the charismatic leadership of the Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, Sohel Mohammad Rana made two exclusive animation films titled 'Mujib Amar Pita’ and ‘Mujib Bhai'.
The animation film 'Mujib Amar Pita’ was based on the book ‘Sheikh Mujib Amar Pita,’ and released on October 1, 2021, while the animation film ‘Mujib Bhai’ has been made based on Oshomapto Attojiboni (The Unfinished Memoirs), the autobiographical book of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and released on June 23, this year.
This time the director Sohel Mohammad Rana is going to make a ten-episode 100-minute series titled 'Khoka' focusing on various important issues of Bangabandhu's political life from his childhood to the day of his homecoming. The series will be aired simultaneously on several television channels in the country from next month.
Regarding animated films and his works, Sohel Mohammad Rana said, "To be honest, I think the way we usually make films by choosing the sets and artists is a bit more complicated. That's why I relied on animation. State Minister for ICT Zunaid Ahmed Palak bhai cooperated with us effusively. I mainly recommend the story to him. Later he finally coordinated with us. I feel that the limitations in animation are less. I can work independently by drawing pictures. And that's where I find my love for developing my thoughts appropriately. And many young people can also join this work. Youngsters are being motivated. I got a good response for the previous two films. I hope the audience will like the series ‘Khoka’.”
