Sabrina Carpenter is gearing up to release her sixth studio album, "Short n' Sweet," on August 23. The singer shared the news on social media, calling the project "quite special" and promising a surprise for fans on Thursday night.
Carpenter's announcement comes after a string of successes. Her single "Espresso" dominated the charts this year, becoming her biggest debut yet and achieving platinum certification. The hit propelled her other song, "Feather," into Top 40 Radio.
This year also saw Carpenter take the stage on "Saturday Night Live" and headline California's Coachella festival, where she performed "Espresso" live for the first time.
Last year, Carpenter released her most successful album to date, "Emails I Can't Send," featuring the fan favourite "Nonsense." The album was followed by a deluxe edition in 2024 and a supporting international tour. Carpenter also joined Taylor Swift as the opening act for the Eras Tour in South America and Australia.
Carpenter began her career starring in the Disney Channel sitcom "Girl Meets World" from 2014 to 2017. Throughout her acting career, she has also pursued music, first under Disney-owned Hollywood Records and now with Island Records.
Announcing the album, the singer expressed its special meaning on social media, stating their hope that "this project is quite special to me and i hope it'll be something special to you too."
For now, the tour page only shows Carpenter's two upcoming festival appearances, Capital Summertime Ball in London and The Governors Ball Music Festival in New York.
