Renowned filmmaker Syed Salahuddin Zaki, who passed away on September 18, 2023, will have his final directorial project, "Oporajeo Eka," released this Eid. The film is based on the book, "Eka", written by Faridur Reza Sagar.

The film will premiere on Channel i at 10am on the seventh day of Eid. Veteran actor Afzal Hossain takes the lead in the film, adapted from the compelling story "Eka" by Faridur Reza Sagar.
The ensemble cast includes Deepa Khandakar, Tahmina Authoi, Jhilik Jannat, among numerous other talents. Under the adept direction of Foad Nasser Babu, the film's music promises to be a highlight, featuring vocals by esteemed singers Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Linu Billah, Kona, Konal, and Shahin Khan.
Reflecting on the production, actress Deepa Khandakar reminisced, "Zaki bhai was unwell during the filming of the film. He still guided us while being seated in a wheelchair. It would have been lovely if he could have witnessed the completion of his film."
Zaki, whose cinematic journey commenced with the 1980 release "Ghuddi," where he garnered acclaim as the Best Dialogue Writer, leaves behind a legacy cherished by audiences and industry peers alike. He was also awarded Ekushey Padak in 2021. He was also a scriptwriter, actor and author. He completed his education from Pune Film School in 1976.
The enduring popularity of the film's soundtrack, notably the song "Abar Elo Je Sondha," stands as a testament to his creative prowess.
