In a surprising twist, renowned actress Shabnoor, initially slated to return with the movie "Matal Hawa," has changed course, making a comeback with the eagerly anticipated thriller, "Rangana." The film, set to be released in the new-year, showcases a fresh perspective with a female-centric storyline.

Arafat Hossain, a debutant director with a background in assisting on various film projects and crafting dramas for the small screen, is set to make his mark with "Rangana." Shabnoor, a sensation in the industry, will grace the screen for the first time under Arafat's direction, promising audiences a novel cinematic experience.

Arafat, enthusiastic about working with Shabnoor, shared insights into the film, stating, "The movie will delve into a thrilling narrative, and Shabnoor's presence was a deliberate choice. Despite her numerous romantic roles, this film takes a different trajectory with a focus on her character. Production is scheduled to commence in the new-year, and we aim to wrap up filming swiftly for an Eid release."

Speaking about her involvement in "Rangana," Shabnoor expressed her excitement, saying, "I was presented with the script for 'Rangana' seven months ago while I was in Australia, and I immediately agreed. The enchanting songs, crafted by the talented Kabir Bakul, captivated me. I'm preparing myself for this unique role, and I hope the audience will witness something extraordinary."

The movie will feature three songs, all penned by the nationally acclaimed lyricist Kabir Bakul. Imran Mahmudul, a popular singer, will lend his voice and contribute to the composition and arrangement of two songs. Arafat, the director, has crafted the storyline, with Tanmoy Muktadir taking charge of the screenplay and dialogue.

Amidst the buzz surrounding "Rangana," Shabnoor has also joined the cast of another film, "Matal Hawa," where she will share the screen with Mahfuz Ahmed.
