In a stunning turn of events, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has been granted heightened security after lodging a formal complaint about receiving alarming death threats. Reports from ANI reveal that the Maharashtra government swiftly elevated the actor's security status to Y+, showcasing their commitment to safeguarding the beloved star.

According to the Maharashtra Police, Shah Rukh Khan personally approached the state government, detailing the harrowing threat calls he received following the release of his blockbuster films, "Pathan" and "Jawan".

The Maharashtra State Intelligence Department (SID) wasted no time in disseminating instructions to all police commissionerates, district police, and special protection units (SPUs) across the state, mandating immediate implementation of Y+ security with a dedicated escort.

Dated October 5, the official communication cited recent "imminent and probable" threats to Shah Rukh, prompting this robust response. Under the Y+ category, the actor will be flanked by a team of 11 security personnel, including six highly-trained commandos, four police officers, and a specialized traffic clearance vehicle. This formidable security detail will stand guard at Mannat, the actor's residence in Mumbai.

This development comes on the heels of previous security reinforcements around Mannat, sparked by protests against Shah Rukh earlier this year. In a courageous show of strength, the Mumbai Police apprehended two trespassers in March, who had scaled the perimeter wall in a bid to breach the actor's sanctuary.

In the cinematic realm, Shah Rukh Khan recently dazzled audiences in "Jawan", which has already raked in a staggering Rs1103.27 crore at the global box office.

Directed by the maestro Atlee, the movie premiered worldwide on September 7, capturing hearts in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. With an ensemble cast including the luminaries Nayanthara and Vijay Sethupathi, along with special appearances by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt, "Jawan" stands as a testament to Shah Rukh Khan's indomitable star power.
