On June 30, 2022, the contractual agreement between Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan and the company "SMC Orsaline-N" came to an end. Since then, no further agreements have been reached between them.

However, despite the absence of any formal contract, the company has continued to use Shakib Khan's image and brand for promotional purposes. In response to this, Shakib Khan has taken legal action against the company, seeking compensation for damages.

Shakib Khan's legal representative, Barrister Olra Afrin, has sent a legal notice to SMC, demanding a compensation of Tk 4 crore for the unauthorized use of Shakib Khan's advertisements and potential harm to his reputation. The legal notice was delivered to Channel 24 on Wednesday, September 6.

The legal notice alleges that these unauthorized advertisements have caused financial losses, damage to reputation, and inconvenience to Shakib Khan, leading to the compensation demand of Tk 4 crore. The company has been given a seven-day ultimatum to respond to the notice, failing which legal action will be pursued.
