Through a unique oath-taking ceremony of a different faith, on August 3, a grand event marked the announcement of a remarkable project named "Ministry of Love." In this venture, renowned director, producer, and playwright Mostofa Sarwar Farooki is overseeing the creation of twelve distinct original films, each based on a tale of love.
One of the intriguing films under this project is "Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya," directed by Shihab Shaheen, which revolves around a long-distance relationship.
Shihab shares, "I've told countless love stories throughout my life, but the story of love I've worked on this time has brought new feelings. This is an entirely new narrative, even though every experience brings fresh insights."
He elaborates, "The film will explore how distance creates stress in love how it molds the dynamics of relationships. Those living abroad will resonate with it. It's a story of connection."
The shooting for "Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya" took place both in Bangladesh and Australia. Shihab expresses, "The team that worked on the Australian shoot put in tireless effort. We faced challenges, but the experience was enriching. We worked in both Rajshahi and Australia, and both places offered a great backdrop for this tale of love."
The film features Tasnia Farin in the lead role. The actress, who is currently married, reflects, "This film's story resonates with many aspects of my life. I had a long-distance relationship before. So, connecting with the story was easier. In the film, my character is named Sharmin. She has faced challenges in a past relationship. However, after meeting Farhan, something wonderful happens."
As for the process of joining "Kacher Manush Dure Thuiya," Pritom Hasan says, "One day, Shihab bhai (the director) called me and said he had a story to share. After sitting down with him and reading the script, I knew I wanted to be a part of it. The film has a captivating storyline."
Pritom Hasan, in the film, portrays a university student embroiled in a tragic and challenging situation. He adds, "The character I play is a student of RUET. A tragic and hard-hitting incident changes his life. He starts off as someone with a tough exterior and little knowledge about many things. However, his first experience with love transforms his life."
