Siam to play a programmer in cyber thriller ‘Antarjal’

Director Dipankar Dipon signed Siam Ahmed for his upcoming film ‘Antarjal’, said to be the first-ever cyber thriller in Dhallywood, where the actor will be seen playing the role of a young computer programmer.

The signing ceremony took place at Motion People’s studio in Dhaka on June 8, in presence of producers of the film-- Mohammad Ali Haider and Sadequl Arefin and co-producer Shah Amir Khasru, reports Daily Amader Somoy.   

Story of Antarjal was co-written by Dipankar Dipon, Saifullah Riyad and Asha Jahid while its screenplay was penned by director Dipon himself.

The film will be made as an initiative of ICT Division Bangladesh and under the banner of Motion People with overall cooperation by communication agency Spellbound Leo Burnett.

The story of Antarjal is about the preparedness of Bangladeshi generation to stay strong in global cyberspace, where Siam Ahmed will play the character of Lumin- a young computer programmer from Rajshahi.

However, as makers of Antarjal are scheduled to kick off the shooting in Dhaka on June 24, other cast of the film are yet to be announced.
