Dallywood's king Shakib Khan is poised to make a significant foray into the Pan-Indian film arena with his lead role in 'Dard,' opposite popular Bollywood actress Sonal Chauhan. Renowned filmmaker and distributor Anonno Mamun, celebrated for hits like 'Nabab LLB' featuring Khan, as well as recent blockbuster releases 'Pathan' and 'Jawan' from Bollywood, will helm the project.

A press conference held at a Mumbai establishment on Wednesday night saw the prominent presence of the lead actors, director Anonno Mamun, and other key stakeholders associated with the project.

Shakib Khan said, "This is the first Bangladeshi film to have a pan-Indian release. I believe it has the potential to be a truly unique story. I hope for a successful collaboration with India."

Through the platform of 'Dard', Sonal Chauhan will make her debut in Bangladeshi cinema. In her words, "I am working in Bangladeshi cinema for the first time. I am learning how far this film is the first Indo-Bangla pan-Indian film. Undoubtedly, I am quite excited about it. I hope this Bangladeshi-Indian collaborative film will be a good experience for me."

Adding further, the actress mentioned, "There is no language for cinema. A good story can be a film in any language."

It was also revealed in the press conference that the shooting of the film will commence in Varanasi, India, starting from Thursday. This film, in addition to Bengali, will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada in February.

In addition to Shakib and Chauhan, 'Dard' will also feature a talented ensemble cast including Jessia Islam, Rajesh Sharma, Rahul Dev, and Paayel Sarkar, contributing to the diverse cultural tapestry of the film.

Jointly produced by Shakib Khan's esteemed production house SK Movies, alongside One World Movies, Action Cut Entertainment of Bangladesh, and Kibria Films, 'Dard' holds promise as a groundbreaking cinematic venture with widespread appeal.
