In celebration of their glorious 50-year journey, the legendary Bangladeshi band 'Souls' performed at a musical night event at Melbourne's Williams Town Hall on September 16.

Naqeeb Khan, founding member of Souls, composer, and music director of numerous super hit songs, shares the stage with Souls to memorialize Souls' silver jubilee.

At the event, Naqeeb Khan mesmerized the audience with the popular numbers ‘Mukhorito Jibon’, ‘Tore Putuler Moto Kore’, Bhalo Lage Jotsna Raate’, ‘Hridoy Kada Mati’ and others.

Singer Partha Barua's daughter Rupa Barua performed on stage with Souls for the first time. She studied in Melbourne. Rupa sang the song 'Raat Ekhono Baki' with her father Partha Barua to the audience.

Regarding the concert in Melbourne, Souls band leader Partha Barua said, "The concert in Melbourne is very memorable for Souls. Because we didn't expect that we could share the same stage with Naqeeb bhai on the 50th anniversary of Souls.”

Talking about singing with his daughter, Partha said, “Rupa studies in Melbourne. Sometimes she sings. I never imagined that she would sing with us today. It is really very special for me. Today will be a memorable day for me in my long musical career.”

Souls will take part in concerts in Adelaide on September 23 and Perth on September 24. The entire team is scheduled to return home at the end of this month. Band Souls has released five songs so far. The songs are – ‘Sagor Prantore’, ‘Kita Vaisaab’, ‘Riksa’, ‘Je Dekho’ and ‘Hawai Mithai’.
