Channel i, one of Bangladesh's leading television channels, is currently airing its highly anticipated reality show, "Shera Kontho 2023." The shooting for the show is taking place at Channel i's own studios, where participants from various backgrounds come together to showcase their singing prowess.
Notably, on Sunday, the shooting for "Danger Zone Round" featured a special guest appearance by the State Minister for Culture, KM Khalid Babu. The episode witnessed a total of thirteen contestants competing fiercely.
The competition kicked off with a soulful performance by Adi Adishri, one of the contestants who hailed from Muktagacha in Mymensingh. Following her melodious rendition, four more contestants wowed the audience with their singing talents.
The show's distinguished panel of judges featured internationally acclaimed singer and composer Runa Laila, Samina Chowdhury, and Rezwana Choudhury Bannya. The program was hosted by Shanta Jahan.
"Shera Kontho 2023" is being directed by the talented Ijaz Khan Swapan. Khan's meticulous direction has taken the reality show to a whole new level, making it the seventh season of its kind.
The official journey of this reality show began in November of last year, attracting both seasoned and fresh talents. For state minister KM Khalid Babu this was a unique opportunity to serve as a judge for "Shera Kontho."
"I have had the privilege to listen to the performances of five contestants, and all of them were exceptionally talented. The competition is incredibly tough, and marks will be very close," stated KM Khalid during his time as a judge on the show.
In the midst of the hiatus due to various circumstances in recent years, it was an exciting opportunity for contestants to participate and be evaluated on their skills. Reflecting on this, the state minister added, "I have always said that I will be here for about forty minutes. But after the performances of the five contestants, I was so engrossed that I felt like I needed to listen to a few more songs. I must express my gratitude to Channel i and the director of the show, Ijaz Khan Swapan.
"In addition to that, I had the opportunity to sit beside the most accomplished artist like Runa Laila and enjoy the music without saying another word; that was also very enjoyable. Samina Apa and Bannya Apa have assisted me in understanding the artists' marks. Thanks to both of them."
