This Eid, OTT platform iScreen is bringing theatrical experience into the digital world by streaming popular play "Bhager Manush", directed by Aly Zaker.
Since 1997, this play has been regularly performed in both Bangladesh and abroad. The Partition of India is a historical event in the map of the subcontinent. This is not merely a partition of map; rather, it has long been mingled with the luck, love, property, savings and various events of love of millions of people of the Indian subcontinent. When the British had to withdraw their regime from the subcontinent, they could sense a fear over the reunion of the masses of the subcontinent that if these people would be able to reunite themselves irrespective their nations, casts and religions, they will ultimately become a big threat to any empire across the globe.
‘Bhager Manush’ tells the story of lives changed by the partition of India and how it has left a lasting impact on our society. The play shows many historical characters like Gandhi, Jinnah and others.
Legendary artist Rafiqun Nabi has designed the poster of the play, while Thandu Rayhan conceptualised the lighting.
