Bangladeshi filmmaker Delwar Jahan Jhantu has sounded a warning, predicting that Jawan's release could trigger a significant protest movement.

Jhantu questioned the methods by which Hindi cinema seems to find its way to freedom in Bangladesh, defying established norms. He raised a critical inquiry, asking how it is possible for two films to secure release in the same week while preventing any other cinema from doing so.

He emphatically stated, "If the ministry somehow allows it, we will take to the streets. There is no way but to protest."

In a recent decision by the government, Bangladesh has agreed to allow the annual release of ten Hindi films in the country. However, the release of 'Jawan' has raised eyebrows and created a complex situation.

Typically, films in Bangladesh premiere on Fridays, but the decision to release 'Jawan' on a Thursday (September 8) has added a layer of complication to the situation. Furthermore, there is an ongoing dispute over adherence to the rules set by the producer committee.

Adding to the intrigue, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's latest film, 'Jawan,' is slated for a global release on Thursday, September 7. It is expected to hit screens in Bangladesh a day later, but this too has become mired in a web of complexities.

The release of 'Jawan' in Bangladesh has clearly become a contentious issue, raising questions about the dynamics of film distribution and the adherence to established protocols within the country's cinema industry.
