Salman Khan's much-anticipated action thriller, Tiger 3, has taken the box office by storm, amassing a staggering rs 240 crore worldwide gross in its opening weekend.

This remarkable feat marks the biggest opening weekend for the Tiger franchise, as well as for Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Emraan Hashmi.

The film's impressive performance can be attributed to its gripping storyline, powerful performances, and high-octane action sequences. Tiger 3, directed by Maneesh Sharma, is the third installment in the beloved Tiger franchise and takes the story to new heights with a thrilling mission involving RAW agent Tiger (Salman) and ISI agent Zoya (Katrina Kaif).

The film's success is further highlighted by its rapid entry into the rs 100 crore club in India within just two days of its release. On day 2, Tiger 3 raked in rs 58 crore at the Indian box office, pushing its total collection to rs 101 crore in a mere 48 hours, according  to Hindustan Times.

Apart from Salman and Katrina, Tiger 3 also features Emraan Hashmi in a pivotal role. The film is part of the YRF Spy Universe, alongside other action blockbusters like War and Pathaan. Interestingly, Tiger 3 also boasts cameo appearances by Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan, adding to its star power and enticing audiences even further.

Tiger 3 has broken Salman Khan's previous opening record, which was set by his 2019 film Bharat, which earned rs 42.30 crore on its opening day. This achievement solidifies Salman's position as one of Bollywood's most bankable stars.

In an interview with Variety, Salman Khan shared his thoughts on the film's most challenging scene, reminiscing about the bike chasing sequence. He also expressed his fondness for the song "Leke Prabhu Ka Naam," calling it a special track that he hopes audiences will enjoy.

When asked about what the audience can expect from Tiger 3, Salman stated, "Audiences have a connection with Tiger, they have followed his journey, they feel a connection with the characters and this time around the film is more personal, more emotional. Plus it is releasing on Diwali day, so we are hoping the audiences enjoy the fireworks on the big screen and enjoy this entertainer with their family in theatres."
