'Toofan' breaks records with nationwide screenings

Raihan Rafi's much-anticipated film "Toofan" has taken the Eid box office by storm since its release, showcasing in approximately 123 theaters nationwide.

Star Cineplex has ramped up screenings from 21 to 47 daily showings, while Jamuna Blockbuster sets a new precedent with 14 screenings daily, marking a milestone for Bengali cinema this Eid.

Starring Shakib Khan alongside Tollywood's Mimi Chakraborty, Masuma Rahman Nabila, Fazlur Rahman Babu, and others, "Toofan" is jointly produced by Alpha-i Studios and Chorki. The film has garnered immense popularity, with its title track "Laage Ura Dhura", composed by Pritom Hasan and featuring vocals by Pritom Hasan and Debosrie Antara, trending on YouTube.

The song's nostalgic chorus draws from Rajjak Dewan's classic "Morar Kokiley", blending traditional elements with modern appeal.

In addition to "Laage Ura Dhura", the film boasts another popular title song composed by Naved Parvez, with vocals by Arif Rahman Joy and rap by Rapsta Dadu, further adding to its allure.

Mymensingh's Chhayabani Cinema made headlines with its first midnight screening in two decades last Tuesday, responding to overwhelming demand to watch the blockbuster film "Toofan". The cinema, known for its 900-seat capacity, accommodated up to 1,000 viewers daily during Eid, underscoring the film's popularity.

Meanwhile, in Jashore, the country's largest cinema hall, Monihar, has been consistently sold out for every showing. Audiences across Bangladesh have been buzzing with excitement, drawn by Shakib Khan's return to the screen in an electrifying role.

Reflecting on the film's impact, viewer Tahsin remarked, "Shakib Khan has made a comeback with a film that resonates strongly with the masses. His action-packed performance and the film's exceptional production quality were talked about even before its release. The viral sensation of 'Laage Ura Dhura' has further fueled the anticipation, amplified by Shakib Khan's devoted fan base."
