In a groundbreaking collaboration, acclaimed actors Mahfuz Ahmed and Aupee Karim have joined forces for the first time in the web series 'Odrisshyo.' The trailer was released on Monday.

The story revolves around Anis Ahmed, portrayed by Mahfuz, a successful businessman who also dabbles in politics. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he finds himself confined to a secluded house under mysterious circumstances. The enigma surrounding why he has been subjected to such captivity remains elusive, adding an air of suspense to the narrative.

Mahfuz, reflecting on his role as Anis Ahmed, expressed, "Viewers will see me in an entirely new light in this series. I've never portrayed a character like this before. The journey of this story is unique, requiring a fight not only against external forces but also against one's own inner demons. I believe this series will prompt viewers to question various facets of reality."

Aupee takes on the role of Anis Ahmed's wife in the series. She remarked, "Several talented actors are part of this series, whom I greatly admire. It is undoubtedly a matter of respect. The trailer provides only glimpse of what unfolds in the series. I hope the audience will thoroughly enjoy it until the very end."

Director Shafayet Mansoor Rana shared his excitement, stating, "My first web series, 'Odrisshyo,' has been an immensely gratifying directorial experience. Especially, the collaboration of Aupee Apa and Mahfuz Bhai was nothing short of magical. Their extraordinary combination and performances are truly unforgettable. I am eagerly looking forward to presenting this work to the audience."

Apart from Mahfuz and Aupee, the series features Tania Ahmed, Shahdat Hossain, Shampa Reza, Sumon Anowar, Ahmed Rubel, Shahiduzzaman Selim, Nishat Priom, Sheikh Partho, and Giasuddin Selim, among others. The series is set to premiere on October 5, exclusively on Hoichoi.
