Yusuf Ahmed Khan and Yesmin Labonno will be performing Nazrul Sangeet on ATN Bangla tomorrow at 8:20 am. The special program, titled "Golpo Ganer Amontron," will be aired to celebrate the 125th birth anniversary of Kazi Nazrul Islam.
Yusuf is known for his mastery of Nazrul Sangeet. He will be performing the songs "Khelichho E Biswa Loye" and "Shokhi Badho Lo Jhuloniya" solo. Yasmin Laboni, who is more popular for her modern songs, will also showcase her talent in Nazrul Sangeet by singing "Kothar Kusume Gatha" and "Oi Ghor Bhulano Shure." The duo will also perform "Mone Pore Aaj Se Kon Janame" and "Mora Ar Jonome Hongso Mithun Chilam" together.
The program is being produced by Lana Khan, who expressed her admiration for both Yusuf and Labonno's talent. She is confident that the audience will enjoy their performances.
Yusuf Ahmed Khan said, "On the birth anniversary of our national poet Kazi Nazrul Islam, my deep respect and love for him. I had the opportunity to learn a lot about Kazi Nazrul Islam from my father. I have immense respect and love for him and his songs. Today, on his 125th birth anniversary, I will sing a few songs in his honour."
Labonno said, "It is also a great privilege to be able to sing on the birthday of the revered poet Kazi Nazrul Islam. Thanks and gratitude to Lana Khan Apa and Yusuf Bhai. Because of them, I dared to sing in such an event. But I sang from my heart."
The program is expected to be a treat for all lovers of Nazrul Sangeet.
